Why seed crackers?
Besides being super easy to make, they are tasty and have many health benefits too.

The 3 seeds that I use in my recipe are sunflower seeds, flax seeds and sesame seeds, all have great health benefits.
Flaxseeds are a great source of protein and fiber, as well as key micronutrients like manganese, thiamine and magnesium.
Sesame seeds are rich in protein, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants
Sunflower seeds are an easy way to boost your intake of vitamin E, thiamine and manganese.
Seed cracker recipe
Ingredients
- 210g Sunflower seeds
- 90g Flax seeds
- 30g Sesame seeds
- 10g Psyllium husk
- 1ml Salt
- 500ml Water
Optional: 120ml Dried olives or 15ml fresh rosemary
I keep my seeds in clean, used glass jars as it keeps the seeds fresh and dry for many weeks.
Method:
Place all the ingredients in a large bowl. Add water and mix with a wooden spoon.
Set aside for 10min until the mixture is gooey.
Line a baking tray with a silicone mat.
Spread the mixture as thinly as possible, making sure there are no holes.
Bake for 50min. Remove tray from oven and score the crackers into the desired shape.
Bake for another 30min.
Cool and store in an airtight container.
Enjoy with my Zucchini hummus dip, use it is a spread on the crackers.
